Turn the mowing blades as shown and
check the angle A (approx. 90°) of the
blades relative to each other.
Removing the mowing blades:
● Remove the mowing deck. (Ö 14.1)
● Set down the mowing deck on suitable
wooden supports.
Loosen and remove the blade fastening
screw (1) using an A/F 17 spanner (not
included in standard equipment).
Counterhold the mowing blade when
loosening the blade fastening screw.
Remove the blade fastening screw (1) with
the retaining washer (2) and mowing
blade (3).
Sharpening the mowing blades:
● Cool the mowing blades when
sharpening, e.g. with water. The blades
must not be allowed to display blue
colouring, as this would reduce their
cutting quality.
● Sharpen blades evenly to prevent
vibration due to imbalance.
● Observe a cutting angle of 30°.
● Observe the wear limits when
sharpening.
Checking the balance of the mowing
blades:
Insert a screwdriver (1) through the central
bore.
When the mowing blade (2) is properly
balanced, it must balance in the position
illustrated.
Installing the mowing blade:
● Install the mowing blade with the curved
edges/vanes pointing upwards
(towards the mowing deck).
Risk of injury!
Always wear safety glasses and
gloves when sharpening.
Risk of injury!
If the mowing blade does not
balance, the sharpening procedure
must be repeated until the blade is
balanced.
The mowing blade may only be
balanced by means of sharpening
back the cutting edges.
Risk of injury!
Before installing, check the mowing
blade for damage (notches or
cracks) and wear.
Worn or damaged mowing blades
must be replaced.
Replace the retaining washer each
time the blade is installed.
Additionally secure the blade
fastening screw with Loctite 243.
Observe the specified torque of
65 - 70 Nm when tightening the
blade fastening screws, as the
secure attachment of the cutting
tool depends on this.
