● Drive slopes in a longitudinal direction. 
Driving transversely increases the 
danger of tipping over – note the 
maximum slope inclination. (Ö 4.7)
● Avoid changes of direction on slopes – 
if changes of direction cannot be 
avoided, they must be executed with 
particular care.
14.1 Removing the mowing deck
● Park the machine on level and solid 
ground.
● Turn the front wheels to the left or right 
to the stop.
● Stop the engine. (Ö 13.3)
● Remove the ignition key.
● Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.14)
● Select the lowest cutting level. (Ö 13.6)
● Remove the grass catcher box. 
(Ö 13.10)
● Remove the discharge chute. (Ö 15.5)
Detaching the V-belt cover:
Loosen the screw (1) behind the right front 
wheel until it turns freely.
Press the retaining plate (1) forwards and 
hold in place. Fold the V-belt cover (2) 
downwards.
Slackening the V-belt (RT 5097, 
RT 5097 C, RT 5097 Z):
Pull the tension spring (1) forwards, 
detach and set down.
Slackening the V-belt (RT 5112 Z, 
RT 6112 C, RT 6112 ZL, RT 6127 ZL):
Detach the retainer (1) from the V-belt 
tensioner lever.
14. Mowing deck
Risk of injury!
Prior to all operations on the 
mowing deck, carefully read and 
observe the section "For your 
safety". (Ö 4.)
Danger of pinching when 
removing the mowing deck due to 
its inherent weight. Therefore 
ensure that no body parts (hands, 
fingers, feet, etc.) are positioned 
directly under the mowing deck.
