Fault:
Excessive vibration during operation.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blades imbalanced due to
incorrect sharpening or damage.
– Blade fastening screws not securely
tightened.
– Engine mounting not securely
tightened.
– V-belt or toothed belt damaged.
Remedy:
– Re-sharpen and balance or replace the
mowing blades. (Ö 15.13)
– Tighten the blade fastening screws,
observing the tightening torque.
(Ö 15.13)
– Tighten the engine mounting. (#)
– Replace the V-belt or toothed belt. (#)
Fault:
Poor cut, lawn turns yellow after mowing.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade blunt or worn.
– Driving speed too fast in relation to
mowing conditions (cutting height, lawn
condition).
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position).
– Mowing deck adjustment not OK.
– Discharge chute blocked.
– Mowing deck soiled with grass residues
(deposits on inside of mowing deck
housing).
Remedy:
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blade
(observe wear limits). (Ö 15.13)
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting height.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2), (Ö 8.3)
– Check the mowing deck adjustment
and re-adjust the mowing deck if
necessary. (Ö 15.14)
– Remove the grass catcher box and free
the discharge chute from grass
residues.
– Clean the inside of the mowing deck.
Fault:
Discharge chute blocked.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade wing worn or damaged.
– Mowing grass too long or too wet.
– Driving speed too fast in relation to set
cutting height.
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position).
– Level sensor adjusted incorrectly.
Remedy:
– Replace the mowing blade. (Ö 15.13)
– Mow the lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing
at the highest cutting level.
2. Mowing at the desired cutting height.
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting height.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2), (Ö 8.3)
– Adjust the level sensor (pull slide out
fully). (Ö 8.19)
Fault:
Grass catcher box not being completely
filled.
Possible cause:
– Level sensor incorrectly adjusted.
– Cutting height set too low.
– Grass excessively damp and
consequently too heavy to be
transported through the discharge
chute into the grass catcher box.
– Mowing blades blunt or worn.
– Grass too high.
– Air holes in grass catcher box blocked
(no air flow in grass catcher box).
– Discharge chute or mowing deck
(inside) soiled through deposited grass
residues (residue from last mowing
operation).
Remedy:
– Adjust the level sensor. (Ö 8.19)
– Set a higher cutting height.
– Wait until the lawn is dry.
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blades.
(Ö 15.13)
– Mow the lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing
at the highest cutting level.
2. Mowing at the desired cutting height.
– Clean the grass catcher box (clean air
holes).
– Clean the discharge chute or inside of
the mowing deck.
Fault:
Level sensor (grass catcher box) does not
respond properly.
Possible cause:
– Level sensor (grass catcher box) soiled
through grass residues.
– Level sensor (grass catcher box)
incorrectly adjusted.
– Driving speed too high.
Remedy:
– Clean the level sensor and check for
ease of movement.
– Adjust level sensor (grass catcher box).
(Ö 8.19)
– Adapt driving speed to the mowing
conditions (reduce driving speed).
