Change the fuel pick-up body
every year
: Drain the fuel tank
: Pull the fuel pick-up body out of the
tank with a hook and disconnect it
from the hose
: Connect a new fuel pick-up body to
the hose
: Return the fuel pick-up body to the
tank
: Note the safety instructions. Refer
to the chapter headed "Safety
precautions and working
techniques".
: Press the throttle trigger
interlock (1) and throttle trigger (2)
at the same time.
: Hold both triggers down.
: Move the slide control (3) to START
and hold it in position too.
: Then release the throttle trigger,
slide control and throttle trigger
interlock in succession =
starting throttle position
: Set choke lever (4):
if engine is cold, to T
if engine is warm, to e
(even if the engine has already been
running but is still cold or if the hot
engine has been switched off for
less than 5 minutes).
If engine is hot (if the hot engine has
been switched off for more than
5 minutes), to o.
: Press the button of the
decompression valve (5) – this
button must be pressed again
before each fresh attempt to start
the engine.
: Press the fuel pump bulb (6) 7–10
times, even when the bulb is filled
with fuel.
