Description

The ceiling sensor (1) on the o
verhead guard
is an assistance system that a
utomatically
reduces the driving speed of t
he truck within
halls. However, this assis
tance system does
not release the driver from
the responsibility
of observing the speed limi
ts on company
premises.
Depending on the system setting, the ceiling
sensor can detect overhead structures above
the truck at a height of 2 m to 24 m above the
sensor.
Operating the ceiling sensor system

When the driver enters a
hall for the first
time after starting wor
k, he must be certain
that the ceiling senso
r system is functioning
correctly. Despite th
e ceiling sensor system
being installed, the d
river must also check the
speed indicator on the
display-operating unit
on a regular basis to e
nsure that he does not
exceed the maximum sp
eed permitted for the
environment.
Enteringahall
The ceiling detector system automatically
detects whether the truck enters a hall. The
system then automatically slows the truck to
the maximum speed that is set for the hall.
Leaving a hall
If the truck leaves the hall again, the ceiling
detector system enables the maximum
speed set for areas outside the hall. Due
to the range of the sensor, this may not
happen until the truck is a few metres away
from the hall exit. Before the truck is able to
accelerate to the maximum speed permitted
for outdoor areas, the speed limitation must
still be unlocked. To do this, release the
