SECTION 1 - PROCEDURES, SPECS & CAPABILITIES
This section contains preventive maintenance, servicing and lubrication
information for the Stinar Model PS-813B/E Passenger Stairway. The
servicing instructions given in this section are recommended by the
manufacturer and are intended to assist servicing personnel in the
development of their own servicing schedules based on their own
environment and needs.
Special Tools and Equipment
No special tools are required to perform the maintenance and
troubleshooting for this stairway. All maintenance and routine repair can
be accomplished using standard automotive tools and equipment.
For removal of the stairway from the chassis, an overhead chain hoist
or crane is required, along with a forklift truck. Three or four sawhorse-
type support frames or similar structures are required to support the
stairs once the stairs sections have been removed from the chassis.
It is recommended that these supports be about 6 ft. high so that the
platform is clear of the oor and the stairs are horizontal.
NOTE:
Perform all work in accordance
with authorized standard shop
practices.
