2.1.1.1 | Sheet, Bar and Tubular Member (Non-Load
Bearing)
Repair cracks or metal fatigue failures by stop-drilling, welding,
patching or splicing.
Prime and paint marred, rusted or damaged nish using a high-
grade primer and nish paint materials.
Clean areas that are extremely oily or greasy with mineral solvents
and degreasers before painting.
2.1.2 | Gasoline Engine
2.1.2.1 | Servicing the Engine
Perform engine maintenance in accordance with maintenance
instructions and maintenance schedule in engine owner’s manual. Below
is a partial listing of critical engine maintenance requirements.
Check oil level before each use.
Change engine oil after rst 20 hours of operation and every 100
hours thereafter.
Clean air cleaner every 3 months or 50 hours, whichever occurs rst.
Clean sediment cup every 6 months or 100 hours.
Clean and reset gap on spark plug every 6 months or 100 hours.
Adjust valve clearance every year.
2.1.3 | Hydraulic System
2.1.3.1 | Hydraulic Oil Tank
The level of hydraulic oil should be checked after every 100 hours of
operation and added as required. Recommended oil is Mobil DTE-13 or
equivalent. Capacity of the tank is 10 U.S. gal. (38 liter).
Always drain and replace hydraulic oil if there is any doubt as to its purity.
Oil should be drained and replaced annually.
2.1.3.2 | Hydraulic Oil Filters
There are two lters in the hydraulic system:
Low Pressure Strainer – This strainer is located in the tank suction
line outlet. It should be ushed out at each oil change. Remove strainer
straight down from the outside.
Return Line Filter – This lter is located on the side of the hydraulic tank.
The 10-micron element for this lter must be changed after the rst 50
hours of operation and every 250 hours thereafter.
WARNING!
Perform no welding, cutting,
patching etc. on any load-
bearing or support structures.
If such Repairs are necessary,
contact the Engineering Dept.
of Stinar, LLC before making
any alterations.
CAUTION!
Always determine hydraulic
oil level and ll tank to
proper level with all hydraulic
cylinders fully retracted:
otherwise, overlling could
occur, resulting in possible
damage to tank when system
is operated.
