3.1
Installation and putting into service
The VEB200 is delivered either complete or as sewing head with Direct Drive.
The reel stand, gear rods, oil and other machine accessories can also be found
in the frame packaging.
Unpacking the machine
Make sure that all accessories have been unpacked before throwing away any
packing material.
3.2
Installation (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)
ATTENTION!
DANGER of bodily injuries or finger bruises through
pulling in of garments or hairs! The machine may not be
operated without belt guards for head and sewing drive.
If the machine head is supplied without stand and sewing drive first make the
borings into the table top as shown in the table top drawing. Mount rods and
treadles and electric connections according to the connecting diagram.
Mount the sewing drive. Electric connection as per connecting diagram shown
in the mechanic’s instructions.
Mount the head to the table top according to Fig. 1 using 4 screws (3) and 4
washers (2).
Mount the lifting and sewing drive operating rods as shown in Fig. 1.
When the top part is delivered with the direct drive attached underneath, then
the control box and the set-point adjuster need to be mounted under the table
top. Additionally the control bars between set-point adjuster and pedal need to
be hooked in.
Make sure that all screws on the stand are tight and retighten them, if
necessary.
ATTENTION!
Before putting the machine into service make sure that the
electric connecting data on the sewing drive's name plate,
mainly voltage and frequency, correspond to your electric
network.
