The fabric is fed by means of a rigid upper feed. The feed (stitch length) is
adjustable in 4 steps from 4 to 7 mm. Standard equipment is a pyramid-teethed
feed dog which can be replaced by a saw-teethed feed dog
(see “7 Variable sewing tools”).

Setting the stitch length (Fig. 2)
ATTENTION!
Switch off machine electrically and make sure that the
machine is really in standstill position by operating the
treadle for the sewing drive control.
Press stitch adjusting knob (6) and turn the hand wheel until the adjusting knob
catches. Keep the stitch adjusting knob pressed and turn the hand wheel to the
front until the desired stitch length catches.
4.9.2
After loosening the two fastening screws the feed dog can be adjusted in
relation to the needle plate. If the stitch length is modified considerably, e.g.
from 7 to 4 the feed dog should be re-adjusted as well.
Setting the feed dog
Also when the fabric thickness or quality changes it is recommended to re-
adjust the feed dog.

General:
Sewing drive
The Direct Drive DC1210/AB611A is used to drive the sewing machine.
Please observe the operating instructions of the sewing drive supplied with the
machine where you will find instructions to program the control and the sewing
drive speed.
