(2) Mount the components
-1 Mount the ratchet into the reel (Fig 12-6)
-2 Mount the ratchet guide assembly, taking
care not to move the ratchet (Fig12-7)
(3) Tighten the set screw
-1 Hold the ratchet guide gently by your hand to
prevent it from rotating, then tighten the set
screw
(4) Tension the reel spring
-1 Grip the case and turn the reel 6 times
counterclockwise
-2 Fix the reel so that the rope hole in the reel is
aligned with the rope guide (Fig 12-8)

The spring force reaches its maximum value when the reel is wound up.
Be careful not to drop it or release your grip on it suddenly.
