Lower Duct Grille and Lower Duct
The lower duct grille rests on top of the lower fan
shroud assembly, with notches at each side of the grille
fitting over tabs that are molded into the fan shroud.
Screws then pass through the holes in the duct grille
and the top flange of the lower duct into self retaining
U-type nuts that are attached to the front of the lower
fan shroud assembly. Notches at the bottom of the
lower duct’s side flanges fit over locating screws pro-
truding from the side covers and screws toward the top
of the duct secure the duct to stand-off brackets.
To remove the lower duct grille and lower duct (See
Figure 6-22):
1. Extract duct grille mounting screws.
2. Lift duct grille up and pull forward.
3. Extract lower duct mounting screws.
4. Pull top of duct forward, about 20-45 degrees from
vertical, then lift the duct up off of locator screws.
Lower Evaporator Fan Assembly

lower duct grille and lower duct, then (See Figure 6-24):
1. Pull thermistor from evaporator.
