Control Panel Assembly
The control panel assembly is secured at the front of
the wine compartment divider with six screws at the
bottom and a silicone seal under the top flange. A con-
cealed tab at top center of the control panel housing
helps to position the control panel assembly.
To remove the control panel assembly, first access the
control board area and disconnect the lower light strip
electrical leads, the LED ribbon cable and the mem-
brane switch ribbon cable, then (See Figure 6-28):
1. Extract the six screws at bottom of control panel.
2. Slide the blade of a putty knife under and along top
flange of control panel housing to break silicone
seal.
NOTE: Do not lift top flange too vigorously. Doing
so will break the concealed tab at top center.
3. After breaking silicone seal, pull control panel
assembly forward and disconnect ground wire.
NOTE: When reinstalling control panel assembly, a
bead of silicone must be reapplied along the inside of
the top flange.
Lower Light Strip
The lower light strip is captivated in the channel of the
light strip housing, which attached to the control panel
assembly.
To remove the lower light strip, first remove the control
panel assembly, then (See Figure 6-29):
1. Slide light housing off of control panel assembly.
2. Slide light strip out of channel.
