LED Indicators
LED indicators for the MBM-XEM-002 10-Gigabit Ethernet switch module are listed and
described in Table A-4 of Appendix A.
Ports
The MBM-XEM-002 10-Gigabit Ethernet switch module contains several front-mounted
ports as described below in Table 4-12.

Port Description
RS-232 Compatible Serial Port
This port accepts an connector cable for uplink using RS-232
connection to a console.
40-Gbps QSFP Ports
These two ports accept a QSFP connector for 40-Gbps uplink
communications.
USB Port
One USB port is provided on the front of the server for peripheral
device connections.
10Gbps SFP+ Ethernet Port
Four SFP+ ports accept an SFP+ connector for 10Gb’s uplink
communications
