Chapter 1
Introduction
1.1 Overview
This chapter provides a brief outline of the functions and features of the 2049U-TR4. The
2049U-TR4 is based on the X11QPH+ motherboard and the SC218UTS-R1K62P chassis.
In addition to the motherboard and chassis, several important parts that are included with
the system are listed below.

1.2 Unpacking the System
Inspect the box the SuperServer 2049U-TR4 was shipped in and note if it was damaged in
who delivered it.
Decide on a suitable location for the rack unit that will hold the server. It should be situated
