Uninstalling the Fan Before Removing the PHM
Before removing the processor heatsink module (PHM) from the motherboard, shut down
the system and unplug the AC power cord from all power supplies.
Then follow the steps below to uninstall the fan:
1. Unplug the fan power connector from the fan header.
2. Loosen the torx screw from the heatsink.
3. Gently pull the heatsink fan upward to detach it from the heatsink.
