TROUBLESHOOTING
The following information will assist you in identifying basic performance,
mechanical and electrical problems. This information is intended as a general
troubleshooting guide and may describe items that are not applicable to your boat.
If you detect a problem with the engine, see the Engine Operator’s Manual. If you
detect an equipment or boat system problem, see the manufacturer's information
for that item.
Before performing any troubleshooting procedures within this section, see
Safety on page 3-1. NOTICE: Certain problems may require specialized skills and
tools. Always consult qualified personnel before making any repairs or
modifications.
Problem Possible Causes
Engine will not crank
Engine emergency stop switch lanyard
not connected
Shift/throttle control not in the NEUTRAL
position
Main circuit breaker open
Battery switch is in the OFF position.
Battery terminals or wiring connections
corroded
Low battery voltage
Faulty ignition switch
Engine problem
Engine cranks but will not start
No fuel in tank
Fuel tank valves closed to engine
Fuel filter clogged
Flame arrestor dirty, if equipped
Contaminated fuel
Engine problem
