4. Decide where to route the cables between the

exterior antenna and the ampliﬁer and

between the ampliﬁer and interior antennas.

5. Install the antennas as described in their

respecve Installaon Manuals.

6. Route the cables to the ampliﬁer locaon.

7. Install the ampliﬁer as described in this man-

ual.

8. Power on the ampliﬁer and perform the con-

ﬁguraon and tesng as described in this

manual.

3.2 - Exterior Antenna

You may use either an omnidireconal antenna

such as the CM100-L (ﬂat area with no obstruc-

ons) or a direconal Yagi antenna such as the

CM230W (to point directly at the tower). The

omnidireconal antenna receives and transmits

signals over a horizontal 360-degree circle while

the Yagi antenna receives and transmits signals

over a focused area and must be aimed directly

(line of sight) toward the cellular tower that pro-

vides the best signal to the building.

The exterior antenna and mast (if any) must be

mounted in a locaon that meets all of the follow-

ing criteria:

• Best signal strength.
