If the Keyless Start System does not turn ON even when the main switch is operated and the error sound (five short buzzer beeps) IS heard, consider the following possible solutions: * The key-fob might be outside the operating range. * The key-fob battery could be dead. * The key-fob may be in OFF mode. * The key-fob might not be authenticated. * There could be a communication failure due to strong radio wave or noise. * There may be an electric wiring connection failure between the keyless control unit and outboard motor. * There might be an authentication error between the keyless control unit and outboard motor. * An abnormality may exist in the electronic control system of the engine.
