1-4 UNCRATING
11. Lift the outboard motor up close to upright
position using a hoist or crane so that the end
plate L of the base plate P may not be lifted
off the floor.
12. Loosen three bolts M marked with in the
illustration and remove the fixing bracket N.
Make sure to perform this work with two or
more operators, one holding the base plate P
securely.
13. Loosen four bolts O marked with in the
illustration and remove the outboard motor
from the base plate. Make sure to perform this
work with two or more operators, one holding
the base plate P securely.
14. Remove the base plate P. Make sure to per-
form this work with two or more operators,
one removing the base plate and the other
holding the outboard motor securely.
15. Loosen three bolts marked with in the illus-
tration and remove the fixing brackets Q and
R.
