FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM INDICATOR
LIGHT “FI” 6
If the fuel injection system fails, the red indi-
cator light 6 comes on and the display indi-
cates “FI” at the clock display in the following
two modes;
A. The display 7 in the odometer display
area indicates “FI” intermittently, and the
red indicator light 6 comes on and
remains lit.
B. The display 7 in the odometer display
area indicates “FI” continuously and the
red indicator light 6 blinks while crank-
ing the engine.
The engine may continue to run in mode A,
but the engine will not run in mode B.
NOTICE
The fuel injection indicator light comes
on to indicate a problem with the fuel
injection system. Riding the motorcycle
with the fuel injection indicator lit can
damage the engine and transmission.
If the display indicates “FI” and the red
indicator light comes on, have your
authorized Suzuki dealer or a qualified
mechanic inspect the fuel injection sys-
tem as soon as possible.
