Before riding the motorcycle, be sure to
check the following items. Never underesti-
mate the importance of these checks. Per-
form all of them before riding the machine.
WARNING
Checking maintenance items when the
engine is running can be hazardous. You
could be severely injured if your hands
or clothing get caught in moving engine
parts.
Shut the engine off when performing
maintenance checks, except when
checking the lights, engine stop switch,
and throttle.

• No restriction of movement
• No play or looseness
Throttle
