“PRI” (PRIME) Position
In this position, fuel can flow from the
fuel valve to the carburetor. This posi-
tion is used for checking the fuel sup-
ply system. Turn the fuel valve to the
“PRI” position when the engine is
hard to start below freezing point.
FUEL TANK CAP
To open the fuel tank cap, remove the
end of the vent tube from the vehicle
body. Turn the fuel tank cap counter-
clockwise. To close the fuel tank cap,
turn it clockwise and tighten it
securely. Be sure that the vent tube is
securely connected to the cap and is
properly routed as shown.
WARNING
Leaving the fuel valve in the “PRI”
position when the engine is off
can be hazardous.
The carburetor may overflow and
fuel may run into the engine. This
can cause a fire or cause severe
damage to the ATV when you start
the engine.
Always leave the fuel valve in the
“ON” or “RES” position when the
engine is not running.
