This document is a user manual for the SVEN PS-720/PS-750 2.1 Multimedia Speaker System. It provides detailed instructions and information regarding the device's functions, features, and operation.
The SVEN PS-720/PS-750 is a party speaker system designed for versatile audio playback. Its primary function is to amplify audio from various sources, making it suitable for use with PCs, notebooks, and other mobile devices. The system supports wireless data transfer via Bluetooth protocol, allowing for convenient connection to compatible devices within a 10-meter radius. Users should be aware that obstacles like walls or other electronic devices can interfere with the Bluetooth signal. For optimal Bluetooth connection, users need to activate the search mode on their signal source (e.g., phone, notebook) and select "SVEN PS-720/750" from the list of available devices. A short beep confirms a successful connection. If a device has been previously registered, re-activating search mode might not be necessary.
Beyond Bluetooth, the speaker system offers wired audio input through a 3.5 mm mini-jack, labeled AUX. This allows connection to any audio source with a compatible output, such as phones or MP3 players. To enhance radio signal reception when using the FM tuner, it is recommended to connect the included 3.5 mm mini-jack cable to the AUX input.
A key feature of the PS-720/PS-750 is its built-in player, which supports audio files from USB-flash drives and micro SD cards. The system automatically enters Player mode when a compatible storage device is connected. It supports micro SD carriers with a FAT32 file system and a maximum volume of 32 GB. The manual advises against using micro SD Ultra Speed cards. Playback can be controlled using the dedicated Play/Pause button and track navigation buttons.
The speaker system also includes a built-in FM tuner, allowing users to listen to radio stations. To activate auto-scan for radio stations, a long press of the Play/Pause button is required in Radio mode. Once scanned, users can navigate between stations using the designated buttons. The system also allows users to save selected radio station frequencies to memory by long-pressing the CH/C button.
For vocal performances or announcements, the PS-720/PS-750 is equipped with two microphone inputs (6.3 mm jack) and an echo function, which can be adjusted using the ECHO +/- knob. A MIC VOL +/- knob is also available for controlling microphone volume. Additionally, a MIC PRI button allows for muting with a connected microphone.
The system boasts effective multi-colored lighting, which can be switched between different modes with a short press of the LIGHT button. A long press of the LIGHT button will turn the backlight on or off. An LED display provides visual feedback on the current mode, station frequency, or track information.
An interesting feature for models produced from April 2021 onwards is the ability to wirelessly connect two SVEN PS-720/PS-750 speakers to a single source. To do this, both speakers must be in Bluetooth mode. One speaker is connected to the signal source via Bluetooth, while the other remains in search mode. Then, a long press of the DEL(TWS) button on the second speaker will initiate the connection. A constant "TWS" inscription on the display indicates a successful stereo connection.
The device also includes a built-in equalizer (EQ) with a dedicated button for switching between EQ modes. A long press of the EQ button allows users to return to default settings. To reset all settings, users can long-press the EQ button until "RES" appears, then confirm by pressing the Play/Pause button on the remote control or the front panel.
Powering the speaker system is a built-in battery, which must be fully charged before initial use. Charging is done via a USB type-C to USB cable connected to a PC's USB port or a USB charger. A red indicator light signifies that the battery is charging, and it turns off once charging is complete. The manual explicitly states that the battery is an integral part of the device and should not be extracted or replaced by the user, as this could void the warranty or damage the device.
The speaker system is controlled both via physical buttons on the device itself and a remote control (RC). The remote control offers similar functionalities, including mode switching, volume control, track navigation, and specific functions for radio and player modes. It also includes a numeric pad for direct track or station selection.
Maintenance of the device primarily involves proper handling and charging. Users are advised to unpack the device carefully, check for all accessories, and inspect for any damage incurred during transportation. If the product is damaged or functions incorrectly, the dealer should be contacted immediately. Shipping and transportation should always be done in the original container. The device does not require special conditions for realization and should be disposed of according to regulations for household and computer equipment. The date of manufacture is indicated on the box. Technical support is available on www.sven.fi.
