diagram read the airflow that corresponds to
the appropriate adjustment position. Measure
the pressure in the hole next to the flow-ad-
justing damper arm as shown in the illustra-
tion below. After measurement, the holes can
be blanked off with the extra plugs included
in the supply.
When the airflow is boosted, it can be adjusted
by means of the valve in the sound attenuator
box or commissioning section. If you adjust
the valve, you must measure the pressure in
the valve as illustrated below. You can turn the
control damper to the fully open position by
hand to make the measurement easier. See the
commissioning diagram for boosted ventilation
in the “Technical data” section.
1. General
The cooker hood has a central role in the
home ventilation system. It is important
that the cooker hood efficiently and quietly
removes cooking odours.
Thanks to their design with elegant and dis-
tinct lines, all the Swegon CASA cooker hoods
elegantly blend in as part of the furnishings in
a modern kitchen. In the design of the cooker
hoods, we focused especially on user comfort,
and have prioritised smooth surfaces inside
the hoods, making them easy to clean. The
stainless steel grease filters are easy to clean.
The lighting in the cooker hoods consists of
maintenance-free LED armatures (4000 K).
2. Installation
All cooker hoods are equipped with an electric
plug, that functions as a main switch. The wall
outlet for electrical connection to a cooker
hood should be placed at an easily accessible
location. A double wall outlet is required if
Safera safety technology is installed.
See the detailed assembly instructions in the
separate installation instructions enclosed with
the cooker hood.
3. Commissioning
The cooker hood is ready for use immedi-
ately after you have installed it, provided
that it will not be used for general venti-
lation in the kitchen.
On delivery, all the damper holes for basic
airflow are covered. The holes in the damper
should be opened if you want to use a basic air-
flow through the cooker hood. You can adjust
the basic airflow to the required rate by opening
the necessary number of holes in the damper.
See the commissioning diagram for basic venti-
lation in the “Technical data” section.
The airflow is obtained by measuring the
differential pressure in the flow-adjusting
damper inside the cooker hood and in the

If the cooker fan is operated at
the same time as a fireplace, heat-
ing stove, gas hob unit, wood/oil
burner or the like is in use, make
sure that enough air is supplied to
the room.
