Grease filter
Clean the filter about twice a month, for
normal use. Clean the filter by hand in warm
water. The grease filter should not be washed
in a dishwasher because machine dishwashing
detergent is too strong.
Extract air component
(except the Blues Free Flow & Tango Free Flow)
The extract air component located inside the
sound attenuator box or commissioning sec-
tion functions as a fire limiter and should be
cleaned every 10th year in connection with
chimney sweeping, or more often if required.
Swegon recommends that you inspect the
extract air component every year and clean it
if required. To what extent the extract air com-
ponent becomes fouled depends on how food
is prepared and how often.
The best way to access the extract air component
is to open the sound attenuator or commission-
ing section as shown in the illustrations below.
4. Use
Swegon CASA Central cooker hoods have a
capacitive touch screen integrated into the
front glass (with exception of the Tango), with
which you control how the hood is operating.
The signal lamps on the panel will auto-
matically become less bright when the cooker
hood is not in use. The Tango hood has the
same control functions and indications, but
it is operated by push buttons located on the
right-hand side of the cooker hood.
1. Cooker hood damper control
(with exception of the Blues Free Flow
& Tango Free Flow)
The continuously open period for the
cooker hood’s damper is selectable in three
settings: 30, 60 or 120 minutes. Each press
of the button increases the damper-open
time one step and the fourth press of the
button closes the damper.
2. Damper opening indication (except the
Blues Free Flow & Tango Free Flow)
The number of signal lamps lit indicates
the continuously open period selected for
the damper. The damper is closed if no
lamp is lit.
1 lamp = 30 minutes
2 lamps = 60 minutes
3 lamps = 120 minutes
3. Cooker hood lighting control.
5. Service and maintenance
Be sure to clean the cooker hood regularly. If
the cooker hood is not kept clean, grease can
collect on its surfaces and cause a fire.
Surfaces
Clean the surfaces of the cooker hood with a
damp cloth and mild dishwashing detergent.
Do not use abrasive (scouring) detergents or
solvents for cleaning.
