3) Take-up spring adjustment
– Functions
Difference in the length of the upper thread pulled by the take-up lever and by the hook creates tension or
looping. The take-up spring absorbs the leftover of the upper thread. Increase the tension or the stroke of
the spring to form tight stitches on the embroidery.
– Adjusting tension of the take-up spring
You can adjust the tension of the take-up spring with its shaft. You can increase the spring tension by
turning it clockwise, and decrease the tension by turning it counterclockwise.
– To adjust the stroke of the take-up spring
You can adjust the stroke of the spring by moving the take-up stopper to right or left.
