Sandfiltersystem Basic 3
4 Setup of the sand filtering system - outdoor
Take note that the minimum distance between the pool's edge and the sand filter pumps with normal
220/230 V current should be at least 3.5 m according to the C15-100 installation standard. Do not make
the distance much longer than this, since the pump's capacity is higher the shorter the length of the
suction hose.
The sand filter must be placed on a firm and even surface with an area of at least 60 x 60 cm. The
location should have a drained surface consisting of small stones, crushed concrete or similar. Take
note that the sand filter must be completely levelled when it is in use. Very important!
The pump is not self-sucking. Therefore, the filtersystem must
always be placed at ground level, so that the water flows towards
the pump.
NOTE: If the pool is less than 90 cm deep, it is recommended to place the Basic 3 filter at a
lower level than the pool bottom (approx. 10-15 cm into the ground). This will help water to
flow with improved natural water pressure from the pool to the filter.
When the filtering system is used outdoors, it needs to be connected to an outdoor power source of
230 V 1 NAC 50 HZ. The power source must be at least 3.5 m from the edge of the pool and must
always be installed by a qualified electrician.
Before first use the hoses must be primed in order to fill the sand filter and hoses with water. Lift the
hoses above the sand filter system to help water to the pump, then lower the hoses again. This
