3.6 Adjusting the display
brightness
COPILOT 15" Mini-ITX allows the brightness of the
backlight to be adjusted using the operating system's
own communication with the integrated power supply.
In the Power Option conguration page you can con-
gure the desired brightness according to the desired
power plan.
It is possible, for example, to reduce the brightness
after a preset time.
System Electronics makes available tools and examples
to be able to adjust the brightness of the display remo-
tely, typically from a supervisor PC via Ethernet commu-
nication you can simultaneously adjust the brightness of
all the terminals of the machine, to adapt them to the
environment (daylight / night light).
3.7 Display
In the advanced power management of the Windows
screen saver, there is normally the feature of automa-
tically turning o the display reroillumination after a
period of inactivity. This feature increases the life of
the display.
To change the power o timeout, you need to change
the mask as shown in the gure below.
The backlighting of the display is LED, with typical bri-
ghtness of 350 nits and 50,000 hours of life (hours of
life dened as the time after which the brightness is
reduced by half).
The display has a resolution of 1024×768 with reading
angles +80°/-80° horizontally and +70°/-70° vertically..
3.8 Connectivity
LThe Wireless solutions of the COPILOT allow maximum
freedom and exibility in use, allowing you to drive
remote equipment.
The COPILOT is proposed as a universal operator in-
terface, for the possibility to communicate with the
machine and receive only the necessary data, as well
as the desired manuals and manage the updating of the
equipment in an easy way.
Native interfaces:
- from 2 to 4 USB connectors on the back
- Ethernet 10/100/1000
- miniPCIe Wi-Fi: wireless radio communication accor-
ding to the 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz standard, with point-
to-point or access-point access mode.
Possibility to authenticate according to WPA, WPA2,
802.1X (EAP-TLS, TTLS, MD5, PEAP, LEAP, EAP-FAST),
EAP-SIM modes. Encryption supported are 64-bit and
128-bit WEP, AES-CCMP, CKIP, TKIP.
The maximum distance between two communication
units or between the 15" COPILOT and the access-point
is 100m.
For applications requiring maximum performance and
radio coverage, two internal antennas or one external
antenna can be installed.
For multimedia applications you may request the option
of audio connection and TV output (Audio LineIN, Mic,
LineOut).
