C. Measure from the top of the valve to the top of
the PIG-SIG V nipple (Figure 4.2). Label this
Measurement “J” and retain for use when setting
the PIG-SIG V plug.

7/16-inch drill. Install and tap through the pipe
following instructions in the drilling machine
manual.
E. Close the tapping valve, bleed the pressure, an

Vent pressure bleeder valve away from work area and
personnel. Stand clear of the vent when the bleeder
valve is opened. Otherwise, personal injury may result
