Front Panel Facilities
@ POWER Switch
Press the POWER switch to apply power
to the C-2X tape deck. Lamps in Peak Level
Meters and lamp in the cassette holder will
light to indicate that power is ON.
Press and release POWER switch to remove
power. Lamps mentioned above will go out
to indicate that power is OFF.
CAUTION: If TIMER switch is ON when
power switch is pressed deck will auto-
matically go into REC or PLAY operation.
@ TIMER Switch
e REC: For Timer recording.
e OUT: Normal position. Timer Control not
possible.
e PLAY: For Timer playback.
CAUTION: Timer Switch Operation
Set the timer switch to OUT whenever the
timer function is not being used. If the
timer switch is in REC or PLAY when
power is applied to the deck, the deck will
go into the record or play mode. Even
though the deck is set to allow timer record-
ing operation, the deck will go into the play
mode if the record protection tabs are re-
moved from the cassette tape.
® AUTO REWIND Switch
This switch works in conjunction with the
TAPE COUNTER to initiate automatic
rewind when the tape reaches the end and
causes the tape to rewind to 999 on the
TAPE COUNTER and then the tape will
either go to stop mode or play mode de-
pending on the position of the AUTO RE-
WIND switch.
STOP — When the tape reaches end stop
position during record or play mode, the
deck will automatically go into rewind
mode and the tape will rewind until the
TAPE COUNTER reaches 999, then the
tape will stop. (Of course, if the tape reaches
end stop before the TAPE COUNTER
reaches 999, it will stop at that point.)
OFF — When the tape reaches end stop at
either end of the tape, the deck will stop
and the selected mode will be automatically
released.
PLAY — When the tape reaches end stop
during record or play mode, the deck will
automatically go to rewind mode and re-
wind the tape until the counter reaches 999
at which time the deck will stop momentarily
and then begin play operation automatically.

@ Interrupteur d’alimentation
(POWER)
Enfoncer |'interrupteur d’alimentation pour
mettre en circuit la platine C-2X. Les lampes
des indicateurs de niveau de créte et fa
lampe du compartiment de la cassette s’al-
lumeront pour indiquer que l’alimentation
est en circuit.
Enfoncer et relacher l‘interrupteur d’ali-
mentation pour mettre hors circuit 1a pla-
tine. Les lampes décrites ci-dessus s‘étein-
dront pour indiquer que |‘alimentation est
hors circuit. .
ATTENTION: Si !e commutateur de minu-
terie d’enregistrement (TIMER) est sur ON
lorsque l’interrupteur d’alimentation est
enfoncé, la platine se mettra automatique-
ment en enregistrement ou en lecture.
@ Commutateur pour fonctionnement
par minuterie (TIMER)
e REC: Pour contréle d’enregistrement par
minuterie.
@OUT: Position repos: le contréle par
minuterie nest pas possible.
e PLAY: Pour contréle de reproduction par
minuterie.
ATTENTION: Fonctionnement du commu-
tateur de minuterie
Ce commutateur doit étre sorti lorsque la
fonction de minuterie n'est pas utilisée. Si
le commutateur de minuterie est placé sur
REC ou PLAY, lorsque !’alimentation par-
viendra a la platine, celle-ci se mettra en
enregistrement ou en reproduction. Méme si
la platine est réglée pour effectuer un enre-
gistrement par minuterie, celle-ci se mettra
en reproduction si les languettes de sécurité
de la cassette ont été enlevées.
© Rebobinage automatique
(AUTO REWIND)
Ce commutateur fonctionne conjointement
avec le compteur de bande pour effectuer
un rebobinage automatique lorsque la bande
arrive a sa fin, la rebobinant jusqu’a 999 sur
le compteur et fa mettant a l'arrét ou en
lecture suivant la position du commutateur
de rebobinage automatique (AUTO RE-
WIND).
STOP — Lorsque ia bande arrive a sa fin
durant I’enregistrement ou ta lecture, la
platine rebobinera automatiquement la
bande jusqu’a 999 au compteur et la bande
s‘arrétera ensuite. (Si la bande arrive a sa fin
avant d’atteindre 999, elle s’arrétera naturel-
lement.)
OFF — Lorsque la bande arrivera a sa fin, la
platine arrétera la bande et le mode sélec-
tionné sera libéré.
PLAY — Lorsque la bande arrivera a sa fin
durant l'enregistrement ou fa lecture, la
platine rebobinera automatiquement la
bande jusqu’a 999 au compteur, s’arrétera
momentanément et repartira en mode de
lecture automatiquement.
