You can use normal, chrome and metal tapes for recording. The
deck automatically identifies the kind of tape loaded, and sets the
bias {for recording) and equalization accordingly.

You cannot record on the leader tape {the first few revolutions) so
take up the leader tape in advance. (See page 30.)
Press * OPEN on deck 2 to
load a cassette.
Press CLOSE on deck 2 to
close the cassette holder.

When making a recording
using Dolby NR recording,
press DOLBY NR so that the
Dolby NR IN indicator lights.
REVERSE HODS

Press REVERSE MODE to se¬
lect the reverse mode you
want to use.
m : One side will record, and
then the tape will stop au¬
tomatically at the tape end.
CtD CO : Both sides will record (for¬
ward side-* reverse side),
and then the tape will stop
automatically at the tape
end.

Press CCRT to activate the
CCRT (Computer Control Re¬
cord Tuning—see page 30)
function.
When the CCRT function is activated, the
test signal for adjustment will be re¬
corded on the tape, so the previous re¬
cording will be automatically erased.
You can record without using the CCRT
function.

2. To resume recording, press < or > corresponding to the direc¬
tion in which recording is taking place.
