5.4 Time Servers Page
General
On entry into the “Time Servers” page via the program tab, the utility displays a summary of the
IP address information for each of NTS01’s Time Server Ports (NTSs), together with the
Firmware Version installed and the MAC Address of the Port’s Ethernet Interface. Five panels
are shown – one for each of the five NTS’s supported by the NTS01. (NTS’s 3-5 are found on
the NTS01E expansion unit). The current Network Addressing information for each NTS is
shown together with the installed firmware version and date. Non-equipped NTS panels are
labelled accordingly.
It is beyond the scope of this document to discuss TCP/IP addressing concepts in detail. The
configuration information that follows assumes that the reader has a working knowledge of
TCP/IP, IP addressing, and associated protocols and utilities such as DHCP (Server and Client)
Configuration of the Time Server Ports involves setting each NTS’s basic TCP/IP networking
parameters (IP Address, NetMask and Gateway IP Address) along with a set of parameters that
customise the Time Server function for each port.
