Cables
used
to
connect
signals
to
the
input
connectors
may
have
considerable
effect
on
the
accuracy
of
a
displayed
waveform.
To
maintain
the
original
frequency
characteristics
of
an
applied
signal,
only
high-quality,
low-
loss
coaxial
cables
should
be
used.
Coaxial
cables
must
be
terminated
at
both
ends
in
their
characteristic
impedance
to
prevent
signal
reflections
within
the
cable.
Use
suitable
impedance-matching
devices.

EXTERNAL
TRIGGERING
The
A
and
the
B
trigger
signals
are
independently
obtainable
from
a
variety
of
sources.
When
viewing
signals
that
require
a
trigger
source
different
than
one
of
the
displayed
signais,
a
free
vertical
input
channel
may
be
used
to
input
the
trigger
signal,
The
CH
1
and
CH
2
verti-
cal
input
channels
may
be
used
to
condition
a
wide
range
of
signais
to
produce
triggers
over
the
full
vertical
deflection
range
from
millivolts
to
hundreds
of
volts
in
amplitude.
The
CH
3
and
CH
4
vertical
input
channels
have
a
choice
of
two
attenuation
factors
(either
divided
by
1
or
by
5
without
the
use
of
external
attenuation)
and
are
especially
usefui
for
triggering
on
and
viewing
digital
signal
levels.
