Overview

The Teledyne Hastings HVG-2020B is a vacuum gauge designed for precise pressure measurement across a wide range, from 1000 Torr down to 10⁻⁴ Torr. It combines a Pirani sensor and a piezo-resistive sensor to provide accurate and stable readings, with the piezo-resistive sensor offering gas species independence for direct pressure measurement. The device is available with an optional integrated touch panel color LCD display, enabling easy configuration, stand-alone operation, and local control.

Function Description:

The HVG-2020B measures vacuum pressure using a dual sensor system. The piezo-resistive sensor provides accurate absolute pressure measurements from 1000 Torr to 1 Torr, independent of gas composition. The Pirani sensor extends the measurement range down to 10⁻⁴ Torr. The instrument features thermal compensation and linearization for enhanced accuracy. It offers various output options, including analog voltage or current signals (logarithmic or linear scale), and digital communications via RS232/RS485 and USB. Two open-drain TTL alarm signals are provided to indicate when pressure exceeds or falls below predefined values. The device is designed for robust performance in industrial environments, with a 300 series stainless steel vacuum envelope, welded construction, and glass-to-metal seals, eliminating the issues associated with elastomer O-rings.
