ment on process response.
If the control performance using auto or self-
tuning is still unsatisfactory, the following
rules can be applied for further adjustment
of PID values:
3–20 Manual Tuning
In certain applications (very few), when using both self-tuning and auto-tuning to tune a process proves
inadequate for the control requirements, you can try manual tuning. Connect the controller to the process
and perform the procedures according to the flow chart shown in the following diagram.
