11.6.5 Upgrade firmware
This function enables the router to obtain the latest functions and more stable performance. The
router supports online firmware upgrade and local firmware upgrade.
Local upgrade
In order to prevent the router from being damaged:

Ensure that the firmware is applicable to the router.
⚫
It is recommended to upgrade the firmware by connecting a LAN port to a computer and
performing the upgrade on the web UI.
⚫
When you are upgrading the firmware, do not power off the router.
Step 1 Go to www.tendacn.com. Download an applicable firmware of the router to your local
computer and unzip it.
Step 2 Start a web browser on a device connected to the router and visit tendawifi.com to log in
to the web UI of the router.
Step 3 Choose Administration > Device Management.
Step 4 Click Local Upgrade.
Step 5 Click the firmware file downloaded previously (extension: bin), and click Open.
