3. COUNTER BALANCE/HOLDING VALVE-HOLD PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: The pressure on the counter balance holding valves is preset by TESCO at 1400 PSI.
Adjustments are accomplished using an Allen wrench on the pressure adjuster and a
standard open end wrench on the locknut.
NOTE: Counter Balance/Holding Valves should be pre-adjusted before installation by turning
adjustment screw clockwise all the way and backing out one and three quarter (1 3/4) turns
for 1400 PSI setting.
1. Extend stabilizer cylinders and partially raise lift. Install maintenance prop.
NOTE: Adjust one counterbalance valve at a time.
2. Loosen locknut.
3. Increase holding pressure by turning adjusting screw counter-clockwise direction. Each one eight
(1/8) turn is equal to 100 PSI increase in holding pressure (ref. Figure 3).
4. Decrease holding pressure by turning adjusting screw clockwise direction. Each one eight (1/8)
turn is equal to 100 PSI decrease in holding pressure.
5. Tighten locknut when adjustment is complete.
