E.2 Connecting the sensor head
The sensor head and the gas detector are adjusted to each other in the factory. The
gas detector must be readjusted (Refer to Adjustung/Calibrating detector, P. 12) if the
sensor head is changed. The detector must be switched off when
connecting/changing the sensor head and sensor extension.
Plug sensor head onto connection socket and close screw cap.
Using sensor extension

Plug sensor extension onto the connection socket and close the screw cap.

Plug sensor head onto sensor extension and close the screw cap.
E.3 Switching on the detector
Keep pressed until there is a beep sound.
- All of the LEDs light up, all display segments light up briefly.
- The warm-up phase (duration: 40s) begins: HEAt and CH4 (standard gas type when
detector is started) are displayed alternately. The bar diagram shows how the warm-
up phase is progressing by adding in segments. The “Operate” LED flashes, the
other LEDs are gradually deleted.
Changing the gas type
Keep pressed until there is a beep sound.
- The gas type is changed (setting sequence: CH4, C3H8, H2)
- Once the warm-up phase is complete, the detector changes to the display “Gas
concentration”: The current gas concentration, unit and are displayed. The audible
concentration display is heard.
