WARNING:Cementandsolventvaporsaretoxicandextremelyammable.
Usethesechemicalsonlyinawellventilatedareaaway
fromsparksandvapors.Excessexposurecouldcause
injuryordeath.Ifdizzinessornauseaoccur,gettofresh
airimmediately.Avoidcontactwithskinoreyes.Use
solvent-resistantglovestominimizeskinexposure.Use
safetyglassestoprotectyoureyesfromchemicals.Ifyou
getchemicalsinyoureyes,ushyoureyeswithwaterfor15
minutesandseeaphysicianimmediately.Ifyougetchemicals
onyourskin,washthoroughlywithsoapandwater.Ifyou
swallowchemicals,donotinducevomiting.Seeaphysician
immediately.
CAUTION:Thejawsofanytool(visegrips,pliers,etc.)thatyouusetopullon
thefeedshoemustbecushionedtopreventdamagetothefeed
shoe,unlessthefeedshoeistobescrapped.
(1)MakesureallelectricalpowerswitchesareintheOFFposition.
(2)Checkthealignmentoftheanti-icefeedtubewiththepropellerbladeanti-icefeedshoethatis
tobereplaced.
(a)Makesurethepropellerisatlowpitch.
(b)Makesurethecenterlineoftheanti-icefeedtubeispositionedoverthecenteroftherst
grooveintheanti-icefeedshoe(rstgrooveofthefeedshoefromthepropellerleading
edgetothecambersideofthepropellerblade).

Ifthecenterlineofthefeedtubedoesnotalignwiththecenteroftherstgrooveof
theanti-icefeedshoe,makesuretheant-icefeedtube,spinnerlletandspinner
assemblyarenotdamaged.Replaceanydamagedspinneroranti-icesystem
component.
NOTE:Itisimportantthatthespinnercomponentsandtheanti-icefeedtube
arenotdamaged.Theinstalledfeedtubewillbeusedtolocatethe
replacementanti-icefeedshoeonthepropellerblade.
(3)Removethespinnerfromthespinnerbulkhead.
(a)RefertothePropellerRemovalandInstallationInstructions,SpinnerAssemblyRemoval
forinstructionstoremovethespinnerfromthespinnerbulkhead.Retainremovedscrews,
washersandshimsforlaterinstallation.
CAUTION:Whenyouremovefeedshoesfromapropellerassembly,becareful
nottoletsolventleakintothepropellerhubandcausedamageto
theseals.Thebladethatisbeingworkedonmustbepointeddown
soallexcesssolventwillruntotheoutboardtipofthepropeller
blade.Asanextraprecautionarymeasure,thehubandbladearea
mustbemasked.Donotuseanysharpobjectswhichmightscratch
thebladewhenyouremovethefeedshoe.
(4)Usemethyln-propylketoneortoluenetosoftentheadhesionlinebetweentheanti-icefeedshoe
andthepropellerblade.Startatonecornerandloosenenoughofthefeedshoetograspitwith
visegrips,pliers,orsimilartool.
(5)Applyasteadypulltoremovethefeedshoe;pullthefeedshoefromthebladeslowlyand
carefullywhileyoucontinuetousemethyln-propylketoneortoluenetosoftentheadhesion
line.
(6)Removeallresidualcementfromtheblade.Usesolventswithcautionasmentionedabove.
