EMERGENCY MOVING A STALLED UNIT
DO NOT TOW!
Transaxle shifters must be in neutral before
moving a stalled unit. Neutral detent is
between “HIGH ” and “LOW” position.

ADJUSTMENTS
Throttle Adjustment
Ten sion ad just ment is made by sim ply tight -
en ing the spring loaded fric tion wash ers on the
throt tle le ver. High and low idle speeds are ob -
tained by ad just ing the link age at the en gine.
HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION
Forward - Reverse Lever Tension
Adjustment
A large knob is lo cated near the For ward -
Re verse le ver. Turn clock wise to tighten ten sion
and coun ter clock wise to re duce ten sion. Ad di -
tional ten sion may be needed when ever the le ver
does not stay in the de sired po si tion.
Neutral Linkage Adjustment:
Ab so lute neu tral is when the trac tor will not
creep on a level smooth sur face with the en gine
run ning and the For ward - Re verse le ver in neu tral
po si tion. If the unit creeps it is nec es sary to ad just
the con trol link age. Ad just the link age by loos en ing
the lock ing nuts at both ends of the rod and ro tate
the rod to shorten or lengthen the de sired amount.
Shorten the rod if the unit creeps for ward or
lengthen the rod if the unit creeps back ward.
Tighten lock ing nuts when neu tral set ting is cor -
rect. (see Photo 5)
