TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART
SYMPTOM: Power steering slow and/or front lift will not lift.
1. Oil level too low in transaxle.
2. Hy drau lic oil fil ter dirty or plugged.
3. Low charge pump pres sure.
1. Fill transaxle to level on dip stick be tween the
two marks.
2. Re place with Steiner ap proved fil ter.
3. See Steiner dealer for pump ser vice.
SYMPTOM: Implement drive belt slips.
1. Drive belt ten sion needs ad just ing.
2. Wrong size drive belt.
3. Ex ces sive load on at tach ment drive sys tem.
1. Ad just by mov ing drive belt ten sion ad just ment
le ver ac cord ing to ad just ment in struc tions.
(see sec tion 4.3)
2. Use cor rect belt size.
3. Check im ple ment at tach ment for worn or dam -
aged drive parts, blades, bear ings, or ex ces -
sive for eign ma te rial buildup.
SYMPTOM: Tractor will not move with engine running and Forward - Reverse lever in forward or
reverse position.
1. Parking brake set.
2. Oil level too low in transaxles.
3. Hy drau lic oil fil ter dirty or plugged.
4. Air leak in suc tion line.
5. Drive cou pling fail ure.
6. Pump con trol link age fail ure.
7. Transaxle shift ers in neu tral.
8. Low charge pump pres sure or faulty hy dro static
sys tem.
1. Re lease park ing brake.
2. Check transaxle oil level and re fill to be tween
marks on dip stick.
3. Re place hy drau lic oil fil ter with Steiner ap -
proved fil ter.
4. Check for loose fit tings or dam aged suc tion
line.
5. Check drive cou pling to de ter mine if pump in -
put shaft is turn ing.
6. Check pump con trol link age and re pair.
7. Shift both transaxles into LOW range.
