Connector/Client Licensing
A separate and unique 'Connector Lock Code' is provided by each NextGen KeySecure Server. This lock code
is used to license supported SafeNet Connectors/Clients, e.g. SafeNet ProtectFile, as well to activate the KMIP
interface.
NOTE Unlike the 'Key Manager Lock Code', the 'Connector Lock Code' is cluster-wide.
This means that a license applied using the Connector Lock Code replicates across the
cluster.
For connector licensing details, refer to Administrator Guide for the specific SafeNet connector you are using.
Refer to the NextGen KeySecure Release Notes > Compatibility section for information on supported SafeNet
Connectors.
The Connector Lock Code is also used to license the KMIP interface. For details, refer to "KMIP Licensing" in
the KMIP Reference Guide.
