Corrosion Inhibitor
With age and use, the knob on the inner door may become hard to turn.
Lithium grease is included for this purpose. Remove the knob, apply a thin
layer to the back and re-install.
If the door hinges do not move smoothly, use lithium grease sparingly.
Model 3110 Series incubators are shipped from the factory with a rust
inhibitor added to the water in the jacket. This inhibitor must be
replenished every 2 years. Mix 1 bag/bottle of the rust inhibitor with a
gallon of distilled, de-mineralized, or de-ionized water. Drain a gallon of
water from the jacket and replace it with the rust inhibitor mixture.
1. Remove the front cover plate below the door. There are small flatblade
screwdriver pry slots on each end of the plate to help remove it.
2. If present, remove the drain plug. Connect the hose barb insert to the
drain on lower front of the water jacket and to the drain hose.

4. After water jacket has finished draining, remove the hose barb insert
and secure on the front of the unit.
5. Install cover plate.
6. After removing the plug in the fill port (located on the upper right
front corner of the unit), add the inhibitor/water mix.
7. Re-install the plug.
