The
Battery
Backup
System
will
maintain
the
time,
date,
and
alarm
in
the
event
of
a
power
failure.
If
the
power
goes
out
or
the
AC
cord
is
accidentally
disconnected'
the
radio
and
nature
sounds
will
not
play,
but
the
display
remains
visible
and
the
clock
continues
to
run.
If
you
have
set
the
alarm
for
radio
or
nature
sounds
and
there
is
a
power
failure
during
your
wake
up
time,
the
radio
and
nature
sounds
will
default
to
buzzer.
If
the
alarm
has
sounded
and
the
radio
or
nature
sounds
are
playing,
then
a
power
failure
occurs,
once
again
they
will
default
to
buzzer.
If
a
power
failure
occurs
and
there
are
no
batteries
in
the
battery
compartment,
all
time,
alarm,
and
memory
settings
will
be
lost.
