SETTING VEHICLE SPEED
To turn the syst em on, dep ress t he " ON " s ide of the "OFF" /" ON "
switch
and o green indicot or light will come on . Set t he vehicle speed by
occe l erating t he veh i cle to the des i red s peed ond mome n tori ly depress
and releose t he " SET " side of t he SET / RESUME switch, then release
acce l erotor pedol .
NOTE : Cruise Contro l System w ill no t accept speed settings nor w ill the
RE SUME feo ture op er ote be low opprox imote ly 20 m. p.h . ( 32 km/ h ).
WARNING :
Do not use the crui se control system when drivi ng c ondition s do
not perm it ma i ntain i ng o constant speed , su ch as heavy traffic or
on roods that ore winding , icy, snow covered , slippery , or w i th o
loos e drivi ng surface.
INCREASING THE SET SPEED
Vehicle speed setting moy be i ncreased by one of two me t hod s.
l. Depres s ond hold the " RESUME " of the SET / RESUME switch unt il
the desired sp eed is ob ta i ned . Re le asing the " RESUME " switch will
s et t he ne w speed .
2. Depress occelero t or pedol until desired sp eed is ob ta i ned t hen
depr ess and rel eo se the " SET " switch.
NOTE : When driving wi th cruise control in use , the speed moy be
increased for passing . etc.. by depres sing the occeleroto r in the usuol
monner. Once the foot is removed from the occelerotor pedol , the
crui se con trol will return the vehicle to the "S ET" speed .

2. Lightly
depre ss the broke to di sengoge the syst em. A ll ow the
vehicle to coo <• to the desired speed t he n dep ress, o nd rele ose the
" SE T" switch.
With Cruise Contro l in use, the standard transmission moy be shifted
in the norma l p roc edure wi t ho ut manually dis engaging the cruise
contro l system. NOTE: The system wi ll automa ti cal ly adj us t the engine
r.p.m. a ll ow i ng t he shift to be comp l eted and mointoin t he set speed a t
o
new gee r se l ec ti on .
CANCELLING THE SET S PEED
The Cruise Control outomotic operation may be concelled by one of
four met h ods .
l. Depres s t he "OFF" side of t he " ON "/ "OFF" switch.
2.
Tu rn t he " MASTER " switch to "O FF " position.
3. Ma ke a slight bro ke a pp licotion.
4. Vehicle
speed drop s 20 m.p.h. ( 32 km/ h) below the "S ET " speed .
NOTE : RESUME feotures moy be used agai n when outomo tic operotion
is cance ll ed with steps 3 or 4. The " RESUME " feature will automatically
ret urn the ve hicle speed to the setting prior too broke application and
ma inta in the set sp ee d . _
