beenacceptable.Theremustbelightcontactacross
thefulllengthofthereelandthebedknife(referto
AdjustingtheReeltoBedknifeinthecuttingunit
Operator’sManual).
ChecktheTorqueoftheWheel
Nuts
Torquethewheelnutsto70to90ft-lb(94to122
N⋅m).after1-4hoursofoperationandagainafter10
hoursofoperation.Torqueevery250hoursthereafter.
Failuretomaintainpropertorqueofthewheel
nutscouldresultinpersonalinjury.
BleedingtheFuelSystem
Youmustbleedthefuelsystembeforestartingthe
engineifanyofthefollowingsituationshaveoccurred:
•Initialstartupofanewmachine.
•Enginehasceasedrunningduetolackoffuel.
•Maintenancehasbeenperformeduponfuelsystem
components;i.e.,lterreplaced,separatorserviced,
etc.
Undercertainconditions,dieselfuelandfuel
vaporsarehighlyammableandexplosive.A
reorexplosionfromfuelcanburnyouand
othersandcancausepropertydamage.
•Useafunnelandllthefueltankoutdoors,
inanopenarea,whentheengineisoffand
iscold.Wipeupanyfuelthatspills.
•Donotllthefueltankcompletelyfull.Add
fueltothefueltankuntilthelevelis1/4to
1/2in.(6to13mm)belowthebottomof
thellerneck.Thisemptyspaceinthetank
allowsthefueltoexpand.
•Neversmokewhenhandlingfuel,andstay
awayfromanopenameorwherefuel
fumesmaybeignitedbyaspark.
•Storefuelinaclean,safety-approved
containerandkeepthecapinplace.
