Disconnecting the Battery
DANGER
Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid, which is fatal if consumed and causes
severe burns.
• Do not drink electrolyte and avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing.
• Wear safety glasses and rubber gloves.
• Fill the battery where clean water is always available for flushing the skin.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Open the battery-compartment cover.

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable .
4. Slide the rubber boot off the positive battery-
cable clamp, and disconnect the positive
battery cable
