Installing the Cutting Unit Lift-Arm Chains

Secure the lift-arm chain to the chain bracket
with the snapper pin .
Note: Use the number of chain links described
in the cutting unit Operator's Manual.
Installing the Reel Motors
1. Grease the reel-motor spline shaft.
2. Oil the reel motor O-ring and install it onto the motor flange.
3. Install the motor
by rotating it clockwise so that the motor flanges clear the bolts .

4. Rotate the motor counterclockwise until the flanges encircle the bolts, and then tighten
the bolts.
IMPORTANT
Ensure that the reel motor hoses are not twisted, kinked, or at risk of being pinched.
5. Torque the mounting bolts to 37 to 45 N∙m (27 to 33 ft-lb).
