•Donotstoregasolinemorethan30days.
•Donotstorethemachineinanenclosurenear
anopename.
•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringit.
1.Onthelastrefuelingoftheyear,addfuelstabilizerto
thefuelasdirectedonthelabel.
2.Runthemachineuntiltheenginestopsfromrunning
outoffuel.
3.Allowtheenginetorununtilitstops.Whenyoucan
nolongerstarttheengine,itissufcientlydry.
4.Removethewirefromthesparkplugandconnectthe
wireontotheretainingpost.
5.Removethesparkplug,add1oz.(30ml)ofoilthrough
thesparkplughole,andpullthestarterropeslowly
severaltimestodistributeoilthroughoutthecylinder
topreventcylindercorrosionduringtheoff-season.
6.Installthesparkplugandtightenitwithatorque
wrenchto15ft-lb(20N-m).
7.Tightenallnuts,bolts,andscrews.
FoldingtheHandle
WARNING
If,whilefoldingthehandleforstoringor
transportingthemachine,youaccidentlybumpthe
keyandengagetheblade-controlbar,theengine
couldstartandrotatetheblade,causingserious
personalinjury.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeybeforeyoufoldthe
handle.
1.Rotatethehandleforward(Figure38).

handleknobsasyoufoldtheupperhandle.
