1.Starttheengineandletitrunforveminutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthetractionunitsothatthedrainsideisslightly
lowerthantheoppositesidetoensurethattheoil
drainscompletely.
3.Lowertheloaderarms,settheparkingbrake,stop
theengine,andremovethekey.
Componentswillbehotifthetractionunithas
beenrunning.Ifyoutouchhotcomponentsyou
maybeburned.
Allowthetractionunittocoolbeforeperforming
maintenanceortouchingcomponentsunder
thehood.
4.Removethedrainplug(Figure32).

5.Whentheoilhasdrainedcompletely,replacethe
plug.
Note:Disposeoftheusedoilatacertiedrecycling
center.
6.Removetheoilllcapandslowlypourapproximately
80%ofthespeciedamountofoilinthroughthe
valvecover.
7.Checktheoillevel;refertoCheckingtheEngineOil
Level.
8.SlowlyaddadditionaloiltobringtheleveltotheF
(full)markonthedipstick.
9.Replacethellcap.
ChangingtheOilFilter
1.Draintheoilfromtheengine;refertoChanging
theOil.
2.Placeashallowpanorragundertheltertocatchoil.
3.Removetheoldlter(Figure33)andwipethe
surfaceofthelteradaptergasket.

4.Pournewoilofthepropertypethroughthecenter
holeofthelter.Stoppouringwhentheoilreaches
thebottomofthethreads.
5.Allowaminuteortwofortheoiltobeabsorbedby
ltermaterial,thenpourofftheexcessoil.
6.Applyathincoatofnewoiltotherubbergasket
onthereplacementlter.
7.Installthereplacementoilltertothelteradapter.
Turntheoillterclockwiseuntiltherubbergasket
contactsthelteradapter,thentightenthelteran
additional1/2turn.
8.Fillthecrankcasewiththepropertypeofnewoil;
refertoChangingtheOil.
ServicingtheSparkPlugs
ServiceInterval:Every200hours—Checkthespark
plugs.
Ensurethattheairgapbetweenthecenterandside
electrodesiscorrectbeforeinstallingeachsparkplug.
Useasparkplugwrenchforremovingandinstallingthe
sparkplugsandagappingtool/feelergaugetocheckand
adjusttheairgap.Installnewsparkplugsifnecessary.

AirGap:0.03inch(0.75mm)
RemovingtheSparkPlugs
1.Lowertheloaderarms,stoptheengine,andremove
thekey.
2.Openthehood.
